Roses

Roses

Roses is a town of Mediterranean culture with a marked tourist and fishing tradition. It is situated amidst a unique natural setting, north of the Costa Brava, less than 30 km from the French border, 65 km from Girona and 160 km from Barcelona.

Its origins date back to the eighth century B.C. with the arrival of the Greeks who founded the Greek city of Rhodes. These historical events have shaped what we are today: modern, culturally active and generous; fruit of the coexistence with other peoples and civilizations.

Today Roses is a town where you can enjoy the beautiful beaches of fine-grained white sand, admire the fabulous views from the “Puig Rom” promontory, or do some promenades through the coastal path...

Roses has all the necessary health services, leisure facilities (library, theatre…), Historical sites (castles, dolmens...), a covered market and a weekly market, cinema, water park, and a huge variety of restaurants, among plenty of other services and attractions.

As an overview, Roses is a town totally recommended to spend a perfect holiday, quiet and pleasant.
